They then remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and the LCD screen and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun. It takes very awesome pictures, specially if you take the pictures with a tripod and you use longer than normal shutter speed. The video quality is impressive all though the microphone quality isn't the best. You also have to use Sony's proprietary port.
